A travel app that helps young travelers plan group trips by simplifying logistics, sparking inspiration, and keeping budgets on track.
the problem
Planning trips with friends should be exciting, but it often turns into a mess. Group chats can get chaotic, budgets are often unclear, and most travel platforms are designed primarily for families or solo travelers. Not young people trying to coordinate with five friends who all have different schedules and bank accounts.
I wanted to design an app that makes group travel planning simple, inspiring, social, and budget-conscious.
research
I started by analyzing existing travel platforms to understand what was already out there and what was missing.
Let's Go: Beautiful imagery and easy booking, but designed for families and couples and not for friend groups
Footprint: Overwhelming homepage with tons of destinations and no clear navigation. Hard to find anything specific.
Lonely Planet: Focused on experiences and planning, but budget tools just led to credit card offers. Catered more to older travelers.
Key takeaway: Most travel platforms are visually cluttered, don't prioritize budget, and aren't focused on the needs of young group travelers.
Gen Z Travel Behavior
